I am a huge fan of wardrobe pieces that are quirky but yet simple and most importantly: comfortable. Inspired by this seasons Asian inspired trend, and the kimonos showed at Pucci ss13 (which i absolutely loo-ooved) and Etro, I started sewing my own kimono from a fantastic heavy velvet fabric, with my sewiwgmachine back in Norway. But I had to leave and get back to London very suddenly and unfortunately I didn’t have the time to finish it. So can you imagine how happy I was when a parcel containing the kimono arrived at my door this morning? The worlds best mom finished it for me and shipped it to my apartment.
I will show you images of it soon or you can see it at my Instagram profile. I already know how I am going to wear it: As a dress (hold together with a matching belt), paired with some high heels and not much else. Can’t wait for an occasion.
